Virtual therapy across British Columbia and walk & talk sessions in the Vancouver area, grounded in compassion, humour, and 15+ years of real-world experience with youth and adults in education.
Whether you're navigating anxiety, identity, relationships, or just feeling stuck I offer a warm, down-to-earth space where you can show up exactly as you are. I work primarily with youth and young adults in Vancouver and across BC via secure video.
I am a Chinese Canadian counsellor of Hong Kong heritage, born and raised on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of the Squamish, Musqueam, and Tsleil-Waututh nations in North Vancouver, BC. After 10 years as a high school teacher and my current work as a high school counsellor, I am now working with individuals on a more personal level through my private practice.
I'm looking forward to creating a meaningful therapeutic relationship with you. To save you some time, I've put together a separate page where you can get to know me a little better and decide if our personalities are a good fit.

$150 (Maximum Additional Travel Cost $25)My approach to counselling is rooted in person-centred (client-centred) principles: I prioritize meeting people where they are on their healing journey to create a safe and non-judgmental space where they feel truly heard and accepted. I focus on building trust and empathy because I believe that people have an innate capacity for growth and change when they feel genuinely understood.
I also intentionally use humour to build rapport, ease tension, and help clients engage with difficult emotions and topics. When used sensitively and responsively, humour can soften defensiveness, deepen the therapeutic relationship, and help clients reflect on their experiences from a different and more playful perspective. At the same time, I remain grounded in trauma-informed and equity-oriented practice, ensuring that my use of humour is always attuned to the client's emotional state, culture, and comfort level.
Every person's experience is unique — these are some of the areas I most often support clients through.
